    • forget trying to meet friendly bears-all you'll find here is stuck up queens full of 'tude. Only plus to this place is the drinks were strong. Other than that, was GROSS and music sucked.

      great everyday bar....
For the most part it is a very fun place. The patrons are very friendly. My personal favorite is the gentleman who custom makes the leather garments and accessories. I must have taken off my pants and put this and that on ... strapped this up here and there...it was so much fun...plus I don't mind being entertaining and naked at the same time...lol,,well at least half nekkid.

      Down to earth bar scene
Regardless of this place old reputation (leather daddies/bears), today it is just a down to earth bar scene, not for those who are looking for a dance club, but simply a lounge in a woodshed scene while remembering or celebrating its history (if you go on Saturday they actually have a booth with kinky leather items, kind of fun to check out, lol) and meeting your average gay joe or catch up with friends. The drinks are sold at good value here, and membership is too. The rocking chairs in the front, or the outdoor area in the back are hot areas, the inside is dark and could use some work but if there was a day to go, it would be Sunday because that's when the really nice people show up I think, Saturday is fun too, but Sunday is more family/friend theme with the buffet at 6PM and kareoke after that, really fun time...

coo getaway- never judge a book by it's cover..
Great drinks and friendly bartenders.. I like it because it's not stuck up and shady like some of the other bars.. You're bound to meet someone here you like as a new friend or what ever your liking. The owner Greg spends a lot of time there and he is a friendly guy.. Check it out!!!

      So, So
Not what I expected. But when you think about it, most gay bars aren't what one would expect. Check it out if you like the divey old skool gay atmosphere.

The Brass Rail was an old divein Charlotte, but it had character and was sort of fun. Plus they had a great jukebox and HOT men. This place tries to carry on the tradition, but it is horrible. The place needs work, you might get a disease on the patio, the drinks are EXPENSIVE, and of course... ATTITUDE. There are a bunch of stuck-up queens EVERYWHERE you look. No thanks.
