Dia de Los Casi Muertos is a multimedia experience that pays homage to the traditional Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, or “Day of the Dead,” a time when family and friends gather to remember and celebrate the lives of friends and family members who have passed away. “Día de Los Casi Muertos” explores observations with death and aging through a video and photography installation.
The multimedia experience features photographs and video interviews where the volunteers share their thoughts about life and dying.
The opening reception for “Dia de Los Casi Muertos” will take place from 6-10:30 p.m. Oct. 15; while admission is free, a donation of $5 is suggested. The closing ceremony, which will include musical performances from local bands and performers, will be from 7:30-11 p.m. Oct. 22; admission is $5 and costumes are encouraged.
