This is my first fundraiser & I would like 2 pay my respects 2 the Cuban iconic vocalist & one of my biggest influences, Celia Cruz. With the help of Olga Rivera we will bring you a night of pure dance & entertainment; focusing on the legendary diva who's birthday falls on October 21. Celia left a foundation where most of her royalties was passed down 2 grant musically gifted latino students with scholarships. On March 31, 2012 we lost Thomas Luciano during a tragic car accident. Thomas was an exemplary latino student & after his passing a scholarship was created in his honor with the help of Olga Rivera (mother) & Maggie Giraud (President of PRCSC). It is my wish that all the proceeds of this event goes 2 these 3 sources as they all (locally & nationally) attribute 2 the enrichment of education & the arts for our future generations; which was one of celia's lifelong passion & has also become mines. Please accept my most humblest invitation & help me give back to the arts while we celebrate the life of a true legend! Please also take a few moments & read up on our participants below as they all are leaders in our community & great role models in each of their professions.
