Plenty of space for dancing or just hanging out with friends. Nice outside patio to cool off, pool room, and excellent light show. Music is typical house.

Saturday night is the night to go. I used to go to velocity occasionally, It's been getting worse and worse. It has a high cover fee, the drinks are like water. A shot is really like a quarter of a shot, it's impossible to get drunk. At least buy a beer to know that you're getting some sort of alcohol in your system! The dance music is old, the people are un-friendly and the owner is in denial. Velocity seems to play the same music today as it did a year ago.

While visiting Charlotte, I was told this was one of the nicer dance clubs. Maybe for the A & F 18 year olds. Too high of an entry fee for a broken down club. No one dancing. Watered down drinks in 2 ounce plastic cups.....what more could an LA guy want. Spend two hours there while not one person said a word to me except the bartender....I am a goodlooking guy, very friendly. Charlotte guys, give it up and learn to talk with others, you could meet some very nice guys!

One Smirnoff Ice is $4 and the entry fee was $16 on a regular Saturday night! The place was packed with kids still in high school, couples, and guys in their 30s trying to look like the kids!
Not one person said a single word to me the whole 2 hours...I was dressed very nicely, and I'm a fairly attractive person. The music was a bunch of early 2000s stuff, and the speakers weren't all that great. There's almost no room to dance because it's so packed, and people step all over your feet like you are a doormat. The club is great...if you are 18, come with a whole gang of friends, and only were A&F.

Was there recently on vacation, Velocity was the place it seemed to go and Friday nights was suppose to be hot Latin night. What a big BOOOOO!!!!. We got there at almost 11:30p and there was all of 5-6 cars in parking lot, seemed to be no one in club, more workers than patrons. The help was less than helpful and particularly vague about where one visiting from out of town could party. I certainly didn't want to drop $20.00 to party with my partner in an empty club. It seems Charlotte is dead in Gay nightlife category. It wasn't like that when I lived there in 76' What the hell happen?

Went there for New Years Eve. No one dressed for the occasion. People dressed as though it was a ordinary night. It was fun and the music was good but don't order shots. Shots served in a plastic thimble.
So, what do you say?
