Where Rugged and Frisky Meet
The Woodshed Lounge isn't just a place of work anymore. It is a place where men come to enjoy one each other's company. The lounge features a variety of different themed events, but their most consistent events are Thursday's Boxer Night (where coming dressed up in a pair of undergarments is encouraged) and Frisky Fridays. It is also the meeting place for the Carolina Bear Lodge, once a month.

The Brass Rail was an old divein Charlotte, but it had character and was sort of fun. Plus they had a great jukebox and HOT men. This place tries to carry on the tradition, but it is horrible. The place needs work, you might get a disease on the patio, the drinks are EXPENSIVE, and of course... ATTITUDE. There are a bunch of stuck-up queens EVERYWHERE you look. No thanks.

Ok...Now the drinks, I have to admit, are on point. Now out on the patio after dark? Let's just say that anything could happen in the crevices of darkness and dark corners. Could get a little skanky. But if you got a little skank in you, then there will be no problem.

What a dive but so much fun. Good crowd on Tuesday and Friday, huge crowd on Saturday and Sunday. BEST (strongest) drinks in town, especially out back on the patio which has plenty of room with plenty of seating. Friendly and welcoming "come as you, be as you are" crowd. Decor? Well it is a dive...dirty and dusty, and smelly restrooms. But still a lot of fun!

I have agreat time each time I go to "the shed". People there arent into who or what you are wearing, which is refreshing for the Charlotte scene. Sunday afteroons the patio wil be packed...the outdoor bar is nice. Inside it can get smokey. Tuesdays and Sunday nights are Karaoke. Thursdays are fun...hell basically every night is fun. Leave the pretention at home and come out for a "different" Charlotte experience.
